We were all celebrating the Millennium and thought we had dodged Y2K. ERAP was kicked out, GMA was in. Then came the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers, the War on Terror, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and American Idol. Britney married KFed and Brangelina was born.
Back in the Philippines, Kris Aquino’s star was on the rise and Manny Paquiao brought pride back to Philippine boxing.
For Class ‘89, life goes on. Babies are born, holidays come and go. We start reaping the fruits of our chosen profession and all the hard work of the past decade. Mid-life catches us by surprise, precipitating life changes for some and a renewed appreciation of family and friends.
We may be older,(although we don’t look it) but we are definitely wiser.
